U.K. native Iain Burgess, famed producer/engineer of the post-punk scene of the 80s, died on Thursday of a pulmonary embolism, apparently a complication of pancreatic and liver cancer. Along with his many audio accomplishments, Burgess is best known for his work on Big Black’s Racer X, The Effigies‘ Fly on a Wire, Naked Raygun’s Jettison and Three Chord Monte by Pegboy. Rest in peace Iain Burgess.
