A second year has passed and cornershopstudios is officially 525,600 minutes older. Like the streets of Montreal we continue to grow and evolve, forever thriving and remaining head strong on our quest for a hopefully unparalleled portal to live concert memories, great albums, breath taking images and interviews with a twist. This last year we’ve seen the likes of The Lemonheads define grunge with an ol’fashion melt down, Jack White’s The Dead Weather suckling from the teet of pure rock grit and Southern monster minstrels Mastodon bleed for the masses. Our perpetually growing staff of word smiths and percolating pool of crack shot photographers have paved the way for cornershopstudios to not only stand out above the rest, but allow hungry artists, thinkers and doers be part of “The space between fact & fiction, where photography & music collide”. The induction of a weekly editorial column entitled Feeling Cornered… has helped us to focus our “opinions” in more constructive ways, while the already infectious FROM THE CORNER comes… continues to uncover fresh new acts like Band of Skulls and Japandroids. From the eyes that blink through our daily music news, to the over-zealous pointers that scroll through our sea of photos, we thank you, and hope to continue on with music in our veins, you on our side and a future of great shows, great music and great art on the horizon.
