Perez Hilton Forms Label Under Warner Music Group
07.10.09Big mouth blogger and self-proclaimed “Queen of All Media” Perez Hilton will get his wish to single handedly choose future music under the umbrella of the Warner Music Group. That’s right readers, not only does Hilton think he has the eye and ear suited to choose chart toppers saying “I have an ear, which is really important in the music world — to be able to hear a hit and to be able to know who has a good song or not”, but Warner apparently agrees allowing the blog flogger to jump on board with his own label. In all fairness Hilton has brought many buzz artists to the public eye, such as Mika, Robyn, Chester French and even pop diva Lady Gaga, commenting “I saw the potential in her from the very beginning before any one else”. So has Perez Hilton become a serious entertainment threat? Has the world of blogging spilled over into the mainstream record label business? In any case look for an initial signee onto the Hilton imprint in late July 2009.
