It’s been close to two decades since we were blown away by Wu-Tang’s entrance onto the stage with their debut, Enter the Wu-Tang. Well, the legacy continues, albeit with a fraction of the original crew (Method Man, Ghostface, Raekwon), with the album Wu-Massacre, a formidable collection of familiar Wu antics, humor, and rhyming skills. First Single/Video From Wu-Massacre Album
03.23.10There’s been much talk about the hotly anticipated Raekwon/Ghostface Killah/Method Man collaborative Wu-Massacre album, which hits the stores next week. From it now comes the single Our Dreams, and an accompanying video, that you can watch here. It has to be said the video is a bit strange, starting off like a hammy spoof of Se7en then segueing into your typical rapper in a limo with a girl, drinking Champagne (I mean, where are they going?). Still, the tune is good, and has a nice Jacko sample to boot.

Wu-Tang Collaboration Album to Finally See Light of Day
02.22.10Wu-Tang Clan members Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, and Method Man have been promising us their hotly anticipated collaborative effort Wu Massacre for quite some time, and fans were beginning to think it might never come out. But no! Fear not, the album now has a release date, some pretty interesting artwork and a tracklist. March 30th is the target drop date and the album will be released through Def Jam, with additional guest appearances from fellow Wu members Inspectah Deck and Cappadonna as well as Street Life, Solomon Childs, Trife, and Sun God. Raekwon Posts Link to Leaked Method Man/Ghostface Killah Collaboration
01.21.10Raekwon, Method Man and Ghostface are the kind of New Yorkers who you might expect to get all Bad Lieutenant on your ass should you leak their music online. Not so, apparently. Yesterday, blog Best of Both Worlds uploaded one of their collaborations on the internet, and Raekwon actually reposted a link to it on his Twitter. It would seem bloggers just saved him the trouble of doing it himself, and now we can enjoy said track Our Dreams in anticipation of the yet to be named album the three are set to release this year. The three Wu-Tang Clan members have also started a contest, via the Def Jam website, to think of a name for their group, with the winners’ names ending up in the album’s liner notes.

Method Man Shoots Autograph Seeking Woman
08.04.09Lyrical stalwart and Wu-Tang Clan member Method Man is being sued by Mary Anderson of Fort Bend County, Texas. The woman claims that Method Man, legally named Clifford Smith, shot at her several times from his tour bus window with a pellet gun, outside Houston’s House Of Blues. The alleged victim sought medical attention after being struck six times in the chest and torso while apparently in pursuit of the rapper’s autograph. Anderson’s lawyer Daniel Horowitz III commented, “The conduct of the defendant was so extreme and outrageous in character and so extreme in degree as to go beyond all bounds of decency and should be regarded as atrocious conduct and utterly intolerable in a civilized society”. Method Man is accused of infliction of bodily injury, infliction of emotional distress and offensive physical contact. Just shocking… Who would have thought piles of weed and access to a pellet gun would eventually lead to poor judgment calls? In related news… Inebriated 5-year-olds can now carry flame throwers.
