Following a guilty plea on federal weapons charges, T.I. has received a final sentence today weighing in at a year and a day in prison. After being arrested in connection to the purchase of unregistered machine guns and silencers, the famed rapper had pled not guilty and was initially facing 10 years in jail and a $250,000 fine. After a deal was met for a rendered guilty plea, the sentence was reduced to its current state. (more…)

Reports surfaced today of Blender’s expiry date being effective immediately. The issue that is currently gracing the stands will be the 8 year old tune mag’s last hurrah as it closes its doors releasing all employees, barring editor in chief Joe Levy who will see some light at the end of the tunnel receiving the position of over seeing Maxim magazine. Viewed by most as a dude mag’s take on music, in buried doses Blender brought quality and sincerity to the public, bringing accessibility to the table and running it parallel to the inaccessible, sometimes sparking obscure rock curiosity out of previously generic pop fans. We tip our hats to Blender magazine for fighting the good fight… R.I.P.
