Green Day’s American Idiot Becomes a Musical
03.30.09Recent reports have stated that pop punk Cali crew Green Day have approved the adaptation of their 2004 release American Idiot into a musical. Michael Mayer & Tom Hulce, the brains behind the hit musical Spring Awakening, approached the mega trio in 2008 with an idea to bring the successful effort to the stage of Berkley Repertory Theatre in California. Answer: ASSWIPE
Question: If you weren’t doing this what would you be doing?
Answer: I guess I would still be a bike courier. J’ai faite ça pendant quatre ans… I liked it a lot.
Question: How would you define the purpose of your music in one sentence?
Answer: It’s all about fun for us, and everyone else.
Question: What’s your general mood?
Answer: Relaxed… Ouais, pas mal ça.
Question: What’s the last thought to cross your mind when getting on stage?
Answer: I should have peed… I always have to pee when I get on stage.

Answer: La Banquise is good… mais des fois c’est trop. I think I’d have to say Lafleur. The last poutine I had at Lafleur’s was really good. -

T.I. on a Time-Out… A Year And One Day In Prison
03.27.09Following a guilty plea on federal weapons charges, T.I. has received a final sentence today weighing in at a year and a day in prison. After being arrested in connection to the purchase of unregistered machine guns and silencers, the famed rapper had pled not guilty and was initially facing 10 years in jail and a $250,000 fine. After a deal was met for a rendered guilty plea, the sentence was reduced to its current state. (more…)

A Moment of Silence for Blender Magazine
03.26.09Reports surfaced today of Blender’s expiry date being effective immediately. The issue that is currently gracing the stands will be the 8 year old tune mag’s last hurrah as it closes its doors releasing all employees, barring editor in chief Joe Levy who will see some light at the end of the tunnel receiving the position of over seeing Maxim magazine. Viewed by most as a dude mag’s take on music, in buried doses Blender brought quality and sincerity to the public, bringing accessibility to the table and running it parallel to the inaccessible, sometimes sparking obscure rock curiosity out of previously generic pop fans. We tip our hats to Blender magazine for fighting the good fight… R.I.P.
