It would seem that the tragic passing of Memphis garage rocker Jay Reatard, found dead in his home on Tuesday night, has taken on a new and sad twist. According to local Memphis news station FOX13, police are now treating his death as a possible homicide. A reward of $1000 has been offered by police for anyone who comes forward with any information leading to an arrest, and tips can be phoned in at (901) 528-2247 or at 528cash.org. Information on the change of course in the investigation, featured earlier today on MyFoxMemphis has subsequently been removed, so at this time the picture is a little cloudy.
