Stone Temple Pilots’ Scott Weiland has announced the coming of a new album in 2010. This new record will mark the first release from the rock outfit since 2001’s Shangri-La Dee Da. “When we finish the album, there will be a big tour around its release and that will probably be a long tour,” stated Weiland. The band is currently on the road having wrapped up their US dates and following the Canadian leg of the tour they’ll get into studios to bring us new music, reportedly to be produced by Don Was. Weiland announces that 18-songs are already written for the fresh romp and more are destined to come down the pipe.
