A good game of Word Association can always be counted on to unearth something interesting. Illicit love affairs, shaky business dealing, embarrassing high-school experiences… things of that ilk float to the surface. In a recent Buzznet word association interview, Rivers Cuomo let slip that he is sitting down to write material with I Kissed A Girl singer/songwriter Katy Perry. Cuomo said that he and Perry are snuggling into the studio next week to record material that might be heard on her next album. I say only ‘snuggling’ because it allows me segue into the next bit of Weezer news. Wearable blanket makers Snuggie are working with Weezer to create the Wuggie. Soft, warm, comforting, the Wuggie is a Snuggie with ‘Weezer’ stiched onto it. You can pre-order the Wuggie, coupled with their latest release Raditude, on Weezer’s website. And the final Weezer related news item of the day is in. The iTunes Pass launched yesterday, and paying 19.99$ will get you weekly Weezer specials, beginning with their cover of The Clash’s Should I Stay or Should I Go. Other bonus materials for interested suscribers includes a deluxe version of Raditude, some live material, little behind the scenes videos, and the music video for (If You’re Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To. It seems unlikely that a Wuggie will factor into the swag, but you can always hope…
