The 20th Anniversary of Nirvana’s Nevermind album is currently one of the most talked about events in the music business. To appropriately celebrate what many consider to be one of the most influential rock albums ever, the remaining members of the band have a little something planned. On September 24th, the night of the anniversary, Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic, together with the album’s producer Butch Vig, will get together for a Q&A with one of modern television’s most prolific interviewers: Jon Stewart. While Stewart is known as a comedian, over the last half decade he has proved that he will not shy away from tough questions, something that should make for an interesting time with his musical guests on the night. The two-hour interview event, dubbed “SiriusXM Town Hall With Nirvana”, will be broadcast live at 8 p.m. on the 24th on SiriusXM Radio, which is also holding a contest for its subscribers offering them a chance to attend the event and perhaps even ask a question. While the album’s anniversary has also spawned a reissue, a box set, and other musical gear, the interview may be what I’m most excited about.
