Ok… So maybe you and your friends didn’t have the budget to properly redo the shoot’em up finale to Scarface, or even the fax machine scene from Office Space for that matter… but some Hollywood heavy hitters have come together to realize the dream. A web series of famous folks re-enacting well known movie scenes comes to us in the form of a project dubbed Cinemash. ‘Tis true cine-junkies, She & Him’s Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt try their hand at embodying Sid and Nancy, with Zooey as Sid and Joseph as Nancy no less. While rapper turned actor Common and Superbad’s McLovin’ Christopher Mintz-Plasse, take a whack at Training day. We even get a taste of the strange as peeps hailing from Reno 911! and Human Giant breathe ‘new’ life into Point Break. Maybe we should stop filming movies and just remake all the good ones… or at least replace all the junkies with Zooey Deschanel, ‘cause Sid’s never looked so pretty.
