Montreal’s bass slinger with the auburn locks is back with more music and visuals for us to sink our teeth into. Completely unfettered and on the cusp of her first multi-dimensional concept album, Melissa Auf der Maur is awaiting the release of Out Of Our Minds (OOOM) this coming spring. Auf der Maur celebrated the launch of her new website this past fall as well as the digital exclusive release This Would Be Paradise, the three song EP available only at the MAdM webshop and garnering a fruitful buzz as of late. Now a fully independent artist operating through her own label platform MAdM Music, Melissa is announcing the premiere of the film portion of the concept release to be viewed at the Sundance Film Festival 2009, along with the music portion slated to be dropped south of the border during SXSW 2009. The new year is shaping up to be more than eventful for Montreal’s daughter of rock… so keep an ear to the ground for the sound of Auf der Maur.
